The Humane Society of the United States asked me to create this invitation for their Fashion Show Fundraiser on February 18th. Proceeds will go towards an innovative project to make the streets of Chicago Safer for Dogs and People as it works to end dog fighting in Chicagoland. This is a very serious and heart wrenching problem, much more wide spread than than most people realize.

If you live in the Chicago area you may have noticed my art work on the back page of The Chicago Reader. I designed the ads with artwork I created for Chicago Animal Care & Control's (ACC) street banners. The Chicago Reader is donating ad space to help spread the word and let people know they can adopt pets from Chicago ACC. It's a beautiful thing when we can all partner up to help bring attention to all those precious pets in need of good homes!

I started a Blog back in November. It's an easy way for me to share my recent work and images which won't always make it to my website. You will see pages from my sketchbook (which I often submit to Illustration Friday) and special projects I am working on. I was asked to create this painting on a plaster dress for the American Heart Association's "Go Red For Women Luncheon" and fundraiser and auction held on February 7th. It was an odd shape but I just did my thing and it worked out okay, it's Izzy chasing Alice or is it Alice Chasing Izzy? It's like a Weeble, it wobbles, but it won't fall down -- there is some kind of liquid inside.
