Anne Leuck leads a double life, pet portrait painter, digital illustrator and muralist by day, clay sculptor, drawer and painter by night. Much of her work is informed by her daily biographical sketchbooks. In truth it all happens at night, with the exception of the sketchbook journaling, she says that sacred time is best enjoyed over morning coffee.
Anne utilizes traditional painting as well as digital illustration to create her custom murals and pet portraits. Her signature graphic style is composed of simplified forms, sophisticated compositions and vivid color palette, which she uses to tell not only her own stories but those of her clients via commissioned works of art. Anne has recently added sketchbook journaling workshops to her repertoire, where she teaches others to establish a similar practice. As a pet adoption advocate, Leuck uses her animal-themed art to encourage support of animal welfare and shelter organizations.
Anne’s work has been exhibited nationally. She is also an illustrator and has licensed her designs for stationery and home decor products. Her work has appeared on expressway billboards, neighborhood banners, t-shirts, tv shows, movies and even farm fields. She’s been featured in publications such as The Chicago Tribune and USA Today, Modern Dog and on programs such as Art Beat Chicago and Animal Planet. Anne’s works hang in private collections in over 30 U.S. States, as well as internationally.
