June is here bringing a summer full of great
events beginning with the 57th Street
Community Art Fair this weekend. Mid-month I
head west to Oregon, IL to participate in the
Fields
Project, then my art fair schedule picks up
again in July with the Magnificent Mile Show.
You'll read that I've gotten
some great
exposure lately, most notably via the Chicago
Tribune. Lastly, be sure to check out my friend,
Erica Huntzinger's amazing paintings.

I was featured in an article
on the cover
of the Chicago Tribune Home & Garden
section on May 20 -
for my postcard prop being in the movie "the
Number 23". I am happy to report that as a
result of this I sold my painting (Urban
View) that is on the postcard to a
wonderful new patron in Rockford.
My work was also featured in an article by
Jeanette Hurt in the May 2007 issue of Lake
Magazine. The article "Chicago Loves
Dogs" was about all the great things you can
do with your dog on a visit to the Windy
City, among them - a visit to my studio!
On the animal welfare front, my banners were
hung in Chicago's City Hall for 'Be
Kind to Animals Week' in May and I'm
the artist behind the logo for Treehouse Animal
Foundation's upcoming
Stray Cat Strut fundraiser on Saturday,
June 16th. Also dog related, check out the t-shirt
design I recenty created for Camp Dogwood.

I am very excited to be particpating again in
the Fields
Project in rural Illinois. This is a
juried art residency - each artist is hosted
by a local farm family, and creates art
inspired by the land and rural life. There
are several community events throughout the
week culminating
with an art festival and plane rides to view
field sculptures. It's a very unique
and wonderful opportunity to explore a world
very different from my own. Follow
this link to see the work I created at the
Fields Project in 2003.

| MySpace & My Blog: Check them out... |

After months of not really getting the whole
'MySpace'
thing, I decided I should just join and
see what happens. I can now see how it really
exposes you to an entire new
world of people, customers and other artists.
If you are
out there, please visit
my page and BE MY FRIEND.
If you have never visited my
art blog or its been awhile, please
take a look. I have made an effort to post a
few times a week and it's getting a little
more interesting as I have started to use it to
better document my studio time and the new
things that I'm creating.

My very dear friend and 'art sister', Erica
Jane Huntzinger, debuts new oil paintings and
ceramic paintings at Uncommon
Ground Cafe
throughout the month of June. I have had the
unique pleasure of working beside her and
watching her magical multi layered process.
Words, emotion, color, adding and
subtracting, manipulation of material, these
pieces need to be seen in person to truly
appreciate the process and beauty. To see
more of her work on-line visit:
