It's an exciting time, October is Chicago
Artist's Month and I've been
busy making new paintings for my 2 shows opening
this week and working on design projects for
local rescue
group events, including painting a fiberglass
cat!
All these happenings take place over the next 4
days: October 11-14. Then next week Rich & I
are off to Northport for the
Kentuck Art Fair. Get all the good details
below...
As always, thank you for your continued
support and
interest in my work!

| Poster Design to Attract Animal Adopters! |
 |
|
I was glad to help out Friends of Chicago
Animal Care & Control when they asked me
to design an ad for their upcoming
Adopt-A-Pet-in-the-Park Event in
Lincoln Park this Sunday, October
14th. There
will be dogs and cats available for adoption
as well as $15 micro-chipping. Watch for the full
ad in Thursday's Chicago Reader. Please come
out and meet these sweet homeless
Chicago animals and consider giving one of
them a new home.

| Alabama Here We Come! |
 |
|
We will make our debut in Alabama
at the Kentuck
Art Festival in Northport October
20-21. We are excited to have been juried
into this
national show which is sponsored by the Kentuck
Art Museum and features the work of
many folk & outsider artists as well as
contemporary art makers.

| Clay Update... |
 |
|
Back in January I shared a sketch
of a tiered server I wanted to make at Lill Street
Art Center in my "Dreams, Myths &
Stories" ceramic class. I finally
finished this piece which turned out to be a
zany sculpture instead of the originally
intended functional piece. This is the beauty
of mistakes in art.
I'm currently working on an airplane and
clouds which will hang from the ceiling, or
maybe it won't!
