My processes are varied depending on the project. My daily sketchbooks are the core of my practice, I’ve been keeping one since 2001 and recently started teaching sketchbook journaling workshops. I use digital illustration for pet portraits and much of my design work. My general painting portfolio consists of images I create with acrylics on wood panels, stretched canvas or cardboard in my studio. For 8 years I participated in The Fields Project, a summer artist residency working on location, outdoors in rural Illinois. Much of my inspiration is taken from my own photographs or images I’ve drawn in my sketchbook. All of my ceramic work is done at Lill Street Art Center.
